U-12 Hurling Team 2006

Junior B Hurling :

Kildangan had a 6 point win over the Rovers last Sunday, Kildangan 0-19, Rovers 0-13. In Round 5, we will face Ballinahinch, that match is due to be played on the weekend of the 27th of August. Team that played Shannon Rovers: Paddy Coen, Colm Darcy, Aidan Ryan, Ger Quinn, James Flannery (Johnstown), Niall Kelly, Kieran Madden, Conor Foley(4pt), John Hayes(8f), Eddie Fogarty(, Art Flannery, Brian Freeman, Willie Seymour, James Minehan, Enda Nolan. Subs: Dinny Slattery, Brian Mcloughlin, Martin Minehan.

Minor Hurling  :

Kildangan had a good win over Newport, scoring 3-21 to 2-03 last Thursday. In Pocan on Wednesday the 16th of August Kildangan will play Moneygall.

U'12 North Final :

Kildangan started off the U'12 campaign by defeating Borrisokane in the first round. Round 2 saw Kildangan lose out to Templederry, but Kildangan kept their foot in the North door by overcoming Lorrha in the next round. Defeating Lorrha brought them into a North Semi final with Moneygall, which also saw a victory for Kildangan. All roads then led to Cloughjordan for the North final with Lorrha, with a 1-8 to 0-4 win for Kildangan. Congratulations to the U'12 panel and mentors on their North Final success. U'12 panel: Brian McGahy, David Sweeney, Tom McLoughlin, Willie Connors, Ashling Gleeson, Jack Loughnane capt., Jim Minehan, Andrew Nihill (1g), Matthew Harty, Oisin Hynes, Tadgh Gallagher (1pt), Alan Flynn (3pt), David Cawley (1pt), Jonathan Horan (1pt), Paul Flynn (2pt), Cathal Hayes, John Hayes, Darren Moran, Daniel Hogan. Mentors: Scart Ryan, Mike Flynn, Eddie Hynes, Brian McLoughlin and Eddie Loughnane.

Munster U'21 Hurling Final :

Well done to Darragh and the Tipperary panel on overcoming Cork in the Munster Final last week. Darragh gave a great display of hurling, adding 1-4 to the overall score.

Sympathy :

Kildangan GAA club would like to express it's heartfelt sympathies to Ryan family, Newtown and the Burgess GAA Club on the untimely death of Breda Ryan. Over the years, Kildangan developed a great friendship with Breda though her work as Physio and First Aider. Our sincerest sympathies to Breda's father, Con and her sister Kay.
