Kildangan's recent successes have been mainly at intermediate level. The club has won the North title four times since 1966
and the County championship on one occasion. Seamus Hogan of Dromineer and Noel Seymour of Loughourna played on all four
winning teams. In the 1966 North final Kildangan were trailing Shannon Rovers by a point when Noel Seymour equalised in the
dying seconds. The Kildangan men roused themselves in the replay and won comfortable by 4-8 to 2-1. The Nenagh Guardian
of 29 October 1966 praised the performances of both Seymour and Hogan and remarked that "John Slattery, his side's top
marksman at right corner forward (he scored 3-3), turned in a good hour and even had time for a smoke". Kildangan went
on to defeat junior champions Lorrha in a match to decide the North representatives in the county junior final. However,
in the final in Thurles in April 1967, despite an obvious superiority in skill, Kildangan were unable to match the fire and
determination of Kilcommon and lost by a point.
