The History of Kildangan GAA club as viewed on this site would not have been possible where it not for the fact that it
had already been comprehensively documented by Daniel Grace in his book on the Parish :
"Potrait of a Parish - Monsea & Killodiernan"

With his kind permission , We are fortunate to be able to print the relevant chapters from his book which details in depth
the history of hurling in our club. This eloquently written book provides a comprehensive look back at how Hurling, and the
GAA have been part of our heritage and chronicles the many sucesses by club and parochial teams.
We highly reccomend this book to all in our club and indeed it provides a valuable insight not only to the history of
our parish, but also through the eyes of our Parish, we get a unique picture of the the relationship of how the history of
a small community is indelliably intertwined with the history of our County and Country
Also Thanks to Michelle Seymour for her help in typing out our History section
