An extra time victory see's Tipperary through to the semi final of the Waterford Crystal Sheild. Tipp started strongly with
John Carrol goaling in the first 10 minutes after gathering from Redser O Grady. LIT answered with an Andrew Quinn goal keeping
the gap to one point after the first quarter. 5 minutes before the half Hugh Flannery gathered from John O'Brien to notch
up Tippareay's second goal.The score at the half was 2-10 to 1-06.
Eoin Kelly lining out in the colours of LIT got their second goal within minutes of the resumption and 5 further points
by LIT brought the game level at 2-11 each. It was tit for tat o the scoreboard going into the final minutes and neither team
could get the required lead which left a full time score of 2-14 to 2-14.
In extra time a brace of points each by Eoin Brislane, Seamus Butler and Ken Dunne gave Tipp a 4 point lead at the half
2-20 to 2-16. LIT faded in the second half of extra time and points from Eoin Brislane and Ken Dunne gave them a 5 point win.
Eoin Kelly showed some of his magic with some brilliant scores over the course of the game and ended with the modest tally
of 1-12 ( 1-07 from play) Shane McGrath (Ballinahinch) and Conor O Mahoney( Newport) also lined out for LIT and had good games.

Tipperary now face Waterford in Lismore on Saturday February 4th in the semi Final.
