The 2004/2005 Season has been an amazing time for Kildangan. Pride of place in a Season packed with great memories goes to our Intermediate Hurling Panel, who realised their goal of winning the 2004 County Final.

2005 then saw Kildangan take the field in the Senior Ranks. We approached the 2005 Senior Season with confidence and aquitted ourselves admirably winning 5 out of 8 Games, making it to the final 12 and scoring an impressive 13 Goals and 96 Points. Our Backs allowed less than 16 points per game on average.

Alas our Rollercoaster Season ended on September 11th 2005 with defeat to Eire Og Nenagh. However, Our Future is indeed bright and we are well set hopefully to accomplish even more in the 2006 Season.

2004/2005 Season

In December of 2004 after winning the Intermediate County Final, they then continued on to win the Munster Intermediate Championship defeating the County Champions from Cork, Clare and Limerick on their way to the inaugural cup. Following this They then progressed to defeat Saint Thomas's of Galway in the All Ireland semi-final in Birr on February 13th 2005.

Then determined to fulfill their destiny and against a highly fancied and star peppered Carrickshock team of Kilkenny they produced a display of pure heart in clinching the inaugural All-Ireland Intermediate Cup. And Oh what a day Easter Monday, March 28th 2005 proved to be. A Day that will never be forgotten in the Parish of Kildangan.
